This article is for administrators of a Training Application Form. Use it when one applicant needs more time after the form's Application Lock Date has passed, without changing the date for everybody else.
How it works
- You set an Extend until date for that applicant. It replaces the form's Application Lock Date for that applicant only. Every other applicant keeps the form's date.
- The form's lock time and time zone still apply. For example, if the form locks at 5:00 PM Pacific and you extend to December 5, the applicant can edit until 5:00 PM Pacific on December 5.
- Only administrators can do this. Applicants cannot extend their own date.
Extend the lock date
- Open the Training Application and go to Applicants.
- Select Actions next to the applicant, then Actions again, and choose Extend Lock Date.
- The page shows the form's lock date and whether this applicant already has an extension.
- Choose a date in Extend until and select Save. You see "The lock date was extended for this applicant".
The date must be on or after the form's lock date and no more than two years from today. A date outside that range is refused and nothing is saved.
What the applicant sees
- They can edit and upload again until the new date: the Edit Application button is back on the opportunity page.
- Their own lock date appears with the note "Extended for your application (the standard date for this opportunity is ...)".
- If the application was already submitted, the submitted page shows their date.
Where you can see it
- The Applicants list has a Lock Extended Until column.
- The applicant's History tab records every change, with the old and the new date.
Remove an extension
Open Extend Lock Date for the applicant again and select Remove extension (confirm the question). The form's lock date applies to that applicant again, and if it has already passed, the application is locked.
