Creating Reports in CCSG Data Table 2a and 2b

Objective

This SOP outlines the steps to generate and export reports for active funded projects using CCSG Data Table 2a and 2b.

Key Steps

 

1. Accessing the Reports Section 0:08

  • Open the CCSG application.
  • Navigate to the left-hand menu.
  • Click on 'Reports'.

 

2. Selecting the Data Table 0:20

  • Choose either 'Data Table 2a' for active funded projects or 'Data Table 2b' for program-specific summaries.
  • For this example, select 'Data Table 2a'.

 

3. Applying Filters 0:32

  • Inside the report, locate and click the 'Filter' button at the top.
  • Select the desired filter options:
    • Funding Workspace
    • Report Date
    • Peer Review Type
    • Program Code
    • Checkboxes for training projects or CCSG funded projects if applicable.
  • For example, choose 'Program C' under Program Code.

 

4. Refreshing the Report 0:55

  • After selecting your filters, click 'Apply'.
  • The report will refresh to display only the projects relevant to the selected program.

 

5. Reviewing Project Details 1:07

  • The report will display two sections: peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed.
  • Each project will include:
    • PI name
    • Funding source
    • Project number
    • Start and end dates
    • Directories
    • Project cost
    • Cancer relevance metrics.

 

6. Exporting the Report 1:23

  • Once you have the desired view, export the results by clicking:
    • 'Export to Excel' or
    • 'Export to Word' at the top right.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access and export reports.
  • Double-check the filters applied to avoid exporting incorrect data.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Familiarize yourself with the filter options to quickly generate the reports you need.
  • Regularly save your exported reports in a designated folder for easy access.
